    Munoz Printing

    Munoz Printing has been a trusted source of a wide range of printing applications for businesses in Dallas area for many years. In order to improve customer service and increase profitability from large corporate clients, Munoz developed a web-accessible database for their customers to automate repeat orders by placing orders online. The program, called Muppet, significantly increased Munoz business.

    As the application became more mission critical to the business future of Munoz Printing, they sought the advice of MainStreet Solutions to help stabilize and secure Muppett. MainStreet reviewed the Muppett application and analyzed its functionality in the daily Munoz workflow. They also reviewed hardware and software infrastructures that were hosting the applications. By identifying the mission critical pieces of the application, they then separated them from less important functions being hosted on the same hardware and software systems.  MainStreet was thus able to significantly strengthen the reliability of Muppett with minimal cost to Munoz. MainStreet provided a phased approach to stabilizing MunozòÀÙs most critical business application, developed a simple disaster recovery plan, and restored confidence to Munoz and their customers.



    Centex Title

    Centex Title made a strong market entry as a Title Insurance underwriter, beginning in year 2000. In order to move quickly, Centex decided to automate the process of managing the policies they were underwriting. Furthermore, in every state Centex decided to write policies, they were required to conform to state regulations. Since every state has unique regulatory requirements, differing sets of òÀÜrulesòÀÝ had to be applied to policies and their premium calculations.

    To jump-start their operation, Centex contracted with MainStreet Solutions, (doing business at that time as Desktop Networks), to provide a title policy management database. MainStreet leveraged their experience in the title insurance industry and expertise in solving òÀÜworkflowòÀÝ problems to provide a rapid response solution for Centex to implement. Additional user requirements were ascertained as well as a strategic nationwide rollout. MainStreet responded and added features to allow Centex to underwrite and manage hundreds of title policies a day, from multiple states, with only two (2) data entry personnel.

    Centex benefited from an application customized to the way they do business, to their workflow processes, allowing them to do more business with fewer people. They were able to expand into multiple states very quickly, capturing market share, adding significant value to their business and increasing profitability.



    Title Resources Guaranty Company

    Title Resources Guaranty Company, a well  established title insurance underwriter headquartered in Dallas, TX, was faced with trying to maintain steady growth as they approached the new millennium, with processes that were labor intensive, and a database system that was outdated. Under pressure from Y2K requirements imposed by the Texas Department of Insurance, TRGC contacted MainStreet Solutions for help. MainStreet, who was also already maintaining the network infrastructure for TRGC at the time, analyzed their technology position and made recommendations that would both solve the Y2K issues and catapult TRGC into a leadership position in their industry.

    MainStreet developed the policy management database for TRGC that automated many processes that were previously done manually, enabled them to do more business without adding personnel, and reduced the overall time to process a new policy from 2 weeks to 2 hours. MainStreet also created the ability for TRGC customers to submit their policies electronically, establishing TRGC as a market leader through a customer-centric deployment of technology, boosting profitability and response times.
